What does it mean to be a leader?

My philosophy and belief is that leadership requires effort to motivate positive, healthy growth in all area possible.

Going beyond the expected. I like this quote:

“fix swings that don’t swing, confront a cash flow that doesn’t flow and toilets that overflow, and [to] work with way too many 4-year-olds named Jennifer” (Freeman & Brown, 2000, p. 20).

Leaders have integrity and understanding that quality care is for the benefit of the child. Show them the way to success.

“In my role as an early childhood education leader, I will focus on protecting little lives.”

“In my role as an early childhood education leader, I promise to always have the best interest of the child.”

“In my role as an early childhood education leader, it is important to me that schools remain safe, clean and fun.”

“In my role as an early childhood education leader, I will value culture and family partnership."

In my role as an early childhood education leader, I will advocate for the positive growth.”
